We experienced another record rainfall (this happened in summer too); it rained 4 – 5 days consecutively. These pictures were taken just a couple of blocks down our house as we live very close to the Meramec River. A road has been completely engulged by the flood. Thankfully, our house is on hill so we should be safe from the flood, but that hasn’t been the case for others. All of the entrances and exits to major highways have been closed since this morning so we are kind of “trapped”. Z had a hell of a time getting to work this morning, and it does me worry me when he will try to come home this evening. Some of the nearby suburbs have already been evacuated as well as about 500 road closures throughout the State of Missorui.
With Texas experiencing 4 different extreme weather events and now this in Missorui, many people have been displaced from their homes. Keep them in your thoughts and please help if you could.
